I wanted a smoothie with spinach so I put a few things together. When I was finished it reminded me of a Reese's peanut butter cup, which I loved many years ago. It wasn't the flavor I was going for, I just got lucky!

Peanut butter cup smoothie
I tried it with the cacao and it was good, but a tad bitter. Then I made it with the Artisan cacao butter and Oh My!! YUM YUM YUM!! It is a regular dessert, even for my non raw kids.

Are you talking about the cacao bliss they make? If so, I bet it was good! I've never experienced bitterness, so maybe it's in your cacao, did you use powder or nibs? I find the nibs bitter, but not the powder. Using cacao bliss (which I didn't have) would eliminate the need for coconut butter since I believe that is it's base. I'm glad you made it work for you! I'm hooked, it's my daily breakfast.
