I have toddlers so we are pretty into supplements since they can be picky eaters. We do a calcium magnesium supplement, iron supplement, probiotics, b and d vit supp, and use lots of vitamineral green and spirulina in smoothies. We also use hemp oil chia and flax alot. If you can stay on top of eating the amounts you need for daily intake of certain vital nutirents then no worries but if your not then it can be detrimental and supplements that are whole foods and organic IMO are not bad.
