I wish I did, I still like to chew gum every once in a while. When I really want gum, and the “craving” doesn’t go away, I choose pelu gum because it is natural and doesn’t have the chemicals that regular gum has.
I too loved gum and mints, but now when I feel like I need something I chew on a toothpick from Tea Tree Therapy. They are birchwood infused with tea tree oil. The ones I have right now are Menthol, Oil of Cassis (Cinnamon), Australian Tea Tree oil, oil of peppermint, oil of spearmint and oil of sweet fennel. I just suck on it for a minute and run it around my gums and between my teeth and it is really helps. I get them at the health food store.
How about chewing sugar cane? It is kind of fun and very tasty.
Zoe, I love raw sugar cane, it is just hard to find where I live. I’ll keep my eye out for it though!
I have a patch of mint growing in my yard (it’s almost like a weed- difficult to get rid of) and I munch on a few of the leaves every now and then.
they have real raw gumdrops. It’s made from the sap of a tree. i ordered some years ago but it got sent to my old address and I couldn’t pick it up. the gum drops come out of the tree in perfect little circles. i guess you would blend that together with sugar and spices to make flavored gum. I will try this one day soon.
Trader Joe’s sells some good natural gum. I’d check that out.
