Its full of Iron…and great as a diuretic. Brilliant detoxifier.
i drink nettle juice. It is amazing, so full of nutrients and very buzzy. I just pick some from the garden and juice them.
where do you get it? I don’t think I’ve seen it.. does it come in tea bags?
I get mine from www.mountainroseherbs.com it comes loose. I usually use herb teas as a base for my green smoothies instead of plain water. This way I can get the benefits from lots of vitamins working together!
I get dried nettles from the health food store bulk spice area.. I put the necessary amount in the bottom of a mason jar, fill the jar and let it sit overnight. I strain it in the morning and drink it. It’s slightly sweet and gives me a lot of good energy- I just wish I remembered to have it more than once a month [which is about how often I remember nettles exist]
using it in smoothies sounds interesting..
I also drink Nettle Tea. I get it from a local Health store from a company called “Celebration Herbals.”
I’ve read it does wonders for your skin. But I just started drinking it regularly so I haven’t noticed anything quite yet. Usually it takes about 3 months for something to show externally I believe.
I haven’t been getting bursts of energy from it like most though. Maybe I should switch to a loose variety? I’m only drinking it for Vanity reasons anyways haha!
I don’t drink it but I do use it on my hair! Makes your hair feel strong and encourages hair growth (wait for the tea to cool of course before you rinse your hair with it!)
ohh i love nettle and mint tea it would be good in warmer weather… i always feel energised after drinking it, but cold!
are there any nettle tea packets online?
I put the dried leaves (loose tea) into my greeen smoothies and it doesn’t taste bad at all, actually I Don’t feel the taste in it.
