Can you go for a walk outside, some place with a bit of sunshine and nature? Sunshine is such a mood elevator. I know this is corny & cliche, but it really helps me to list (aloud or on paper) all the gifts I’m grateful for, from this new day to my house. I have to really mean it though. Lastly, just doing something nice for someone else (your basic Random Act of Kindness) is such a boost. One day recently, I unloaded groceries onto the register belt for a woman who was holding a sleeping toddler. It took less than 2 minutes, but really brought me out of a funk.
I hope some of this helps and that your days gets better and better!
Here are some cheezy, and some not so cheezy things to do to help elevate your mood:
- smile at yourself in the mirror for 1-5 minutes
-Sing
-Dance
- Borrow somebody’s kid or dog and go play at the park!
- Make a friend a meal and share it with them
