I have a philips juicer cant remember the exact model but it was quite cheap and does the job. Will try look out which model it is later.
Hey, Alyssa! That's awesome - Your going to love how juicing makes your feel :) Ok, so I can give a few ideas - First, you could always do the Sharper Image juicer at your local Macys - I believe around 75 to 100 dollars. Personally, I used this for my first two years and it worked great! I'm sure a lot of people would bite my head off for that, but hey, it's better than nothing. Plus, it didn't suck (always a plus). Any who, that in comparison to the Jack L juicer, go with the Sharper Image (larger mouth feed, easier to clean, etc...). And actually, as I type this - I think more and more about how much I liked that blender - really, for 75, it's an awesome starter juicer! Now if you want to take a step up from that, I'd recommend the Breville variable speed juicer - On amazon, it's about 170. I've heard nothing but awesome things about this juicer, and now, I'm actually considering down grading my juicer to try it out, ha. Any who, hope that helps - good luck! Oh - and my most favorite recipe is: 1 head of romaine 2 kale leaves couple stalks of celery 1 apple 1 lemon thumb size of ginger Soo good :)
That recipe is pretty much similar to one i often use minus the lemon, so yummy:).
Thanks everyone!! I am going to go get one this week!! Also, thanks Rawxy, for the recipe.. looks yummy!!

The two classics are a Champion Juicer or Greenstar. I've used both, both are very robust. The Greenstar is much more expensive and supposedly more efficient, but I personally can't tell that much of an improvement. I recommend the Champion, its a beast and its on craigslist a lot.
P.S. I'm not a juicer expert either, but one thing I know is you want to look for a juicer that doesn't "oxidize" the juice. All "oxidize" really means is "get air into the juice". Oxidation lowers the life-span and vitality of the juice. So you want to make sure that the juicer you get is low-speed. This also prevents the juice from being heated.
