stRAWberry ice cream
stRAWberry ice cream
Servings:
makes 4 cups

fresh, creamy,strawberry

Ingredients:

1 cup soaked almonds, sprouted if desired
¾ cup hemp seeds
1 cup fresh water
3 cup ripe strawberries, washed,hulled
½ cup date paste, soaked dates, blended with water
1 inch vanilla bean seeds, or 1 tsp. extract

Preparation:

1.blend almonds, hemp, and water.picture #2 shows sprouted almonds with skins removed:)

2.strain using nut milk bag.you should have about 1 cup “cream”.

3.add cream to blender with berries ,vanilla, and date paste.

4.process in 1 and1/2 quart ice cream maker.

also very good with chocolate chips mixed in at the end.

recipe can be easily doubled if using a bigger machine.can also just be a smoothie:)

you can see a “pink piggy” variation of this here-

hi miss souffle:)...i don't think the hempseeds are necessary for the ice cream..they do add a creaminess and nutritional value, but if you wanted to try some brazil nuts or macadamia for the high fat content that would be a good sub:) lucky you coming into summer..hehe

You could try freezing the mixture in ice cube trays and then blending it in a Vitamix. I actually haven't tried making ice cream in my vitamix yet, but it looks pretty easy on the instructional video. :)
