Raw Astropops

Reminiscent of summers as a child, chasing the ice cream truck for an astropop! These cool treats are the exact color of astropops and they taste just like them too!

*I’ll add a picture of mine once I get a better camera! It couldn’t capture the beauty!

Ingredients:

1 pineapple, sliced
16 ounce strawberries, halved

Preparation:

Slice one pineapple into pieces big enough to go down the chute of your juicer. Set aside. Slice your strawberries in the same manner. I had to halve mine since the chute wasn’t big enough. Juice strawberries and pineapple…Put the juice into popsicle molds. Freeze until solid. Enjoy!

This recipe was edited. It turns out that the juice version tasted better than the pulp version :)

Great! Yes, I remember these waiting for the Good Humor truck to come down the street. I just bought some freezer pop molds at IKEA about a month ago with the intent of making popisicles. I wish I had some strawberries right now!

Angie--neither had I! I just had the urge to make pineapple strawberry juice, and then when it came out, it was so beautiful, the colors just like the sunset with an astropop! haha so cheesy...

Rachel--I've never juiced before this...my friend let me borrow her juicer and this is the first thing I've ever made, but the pulp from the strawberries and pineapple is very liquidy, it's perfect! Kind of like sherbert...

Wow, you actually freeze the pulp? I've never tried that before.

Fun! I have been making fruit popscicles for my son, but hadn't thought of doing multicolored ones :)
