missisippi massala
I was craving indian food and had some mexican leftovers that i “respiced” wow! it hit the spot! and i was thrilled to be able to use left overs in a different cultural way!!
1½ cup sunflower seeds, soaked and dehydrated
1½ teaspoon cumin
1½ teaspoon
corriander
2 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoon apricotts(dried)
1 teaspoon salt to taste
4 tablespoon water, or a bit more for
consistency
¼ jalapeno for zing
2 cup chopped tomatoes
2 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon
jalapeno
.33 cup basil
½ cup red bell pepper
½ teaspoon nama shoyu or salt
¼ cup
onions
½ cup sundried tomatoes
pinch garam masala to taste
for meatballs: mix first 8 ingredients until thick, dont use to much water, then shape into logs or balls and dehydrate 2 to 4 hours.
sause: blend next 9 ingredients until smooth
enjoy with your version of “rice” and “naan”( my version of nan happened to be left over tortillas) ;) but i have an idea for naan will post if it turns out!
