Green Lizard
Like liquid sunshine :). This is my favourite, easiest green smoothie , but inot one I have seen posted.
The taste is always good but with best ingredients it's brilliant. We make it
every morning in my house and I am so addicted that, about six months ago, on holidays in Albany in South Western Australia I asked Trish at the local gourmet cafe - Bay Merchants - if she could make one for me. She surpassed herself, tasted it - and a few months later, when I returned, it was on the menu.
So credit for the name goes to
her, as well as credit for offering a genuine green smoothie to the local 'foodies'.
4 or 5 juicy good oranges
1 banana (better if frozen!)
At least half a bunch of fresh young spinach
The frozen banana adds a delicious stiffness and 'thickshake' quality but the recipe is still good if you don't have a frozen one on hand.
Take all the ingredients and blend them
throughly.
Enjoy :)
PS the photo is accessoriised with lettuce because all the spinach was in the smoothie!
