Creamy Yerba Matte Latte
Servings:
3 cups milk, enough for 8 cups of Yerba Mate drinks

Another recipe I found on www.welikeitraw.com Very very Tasty and just what I was looking for to help my cravings for warm coffee in the morning. You can also make the instant cashew milk from raw almond butter or any seed or nut butters. I also made a chai verson with chai tea bags. The variations are endless, I’m going to try it with some organic cocoa. PERFECT!!!!!

Ingredients:

4 tablespoon RAW cashew butter
2½ cup pure water
2 tablespoon raw agava or honey
4 dash cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 bag yerba mate tea leaves

Preparation:

1 – Preparing the Instant Cashew Milk

1- Throw your 4 TB of Cashew Butter into the blender with your water.

2- Salt, Cinnamon and vanilla definitely add that magic touch.

3 – Blend it like you mean it silky smooth.

You can also use nut milk or seed milk for this recipe.

Putting it all together

1 – Heat up a pot of water or tea kettle to your desired temp.

2 – Drop in the Yerba Mate tea bag and hot water into a cup. Let it sit for 5 min or so.

3 – Using a strainer (to catch the un-blended chunks of cashew) fill up 1/4 up the cup with the cashew milk. More milk if you want it creamier.

4 – Add a dash of cinnamon for the road and your ready to go!

You could possibly steep the yerba mate in cold water all night, instead of hot... That way it wouldn't technically be "cooked". I heard somewhere that it doesn't have the same adverse effects that way. This looks yummy :c)
