A great sauce to try if you want to transition to raw but not ready to go all the way yet. It can also help get rid of some celery hiding in the fridge. Not 100% raw but it can be modified to be 100%.

Recipe Directions

Note: The amount is not exact. I do not have specific measurements because this is based on taste. I usually use a lot of cinnamon, a little maple syrup, a little salt with the almond butter.

When I first decided to try raw foods, I bought many things, one being celery, another raw almond butter. I hate celery and I do not like the taste of almond butter. I added some salt and felt it needed some sweetness and I had just came off of the master cleanse so I figured I would go ahead and use the maple syrup and decided well why not add some cinnamon. I played with it and loved it. The celery came to me because I thought well people like it with peanut butter maybe the almond butter would be nice. It taste great. If you want to substitute the maple syrup for another sweetner go right ahead. I did try it with the raw honey, agave nectar and pure cane syrup before and they all were great. The raw honey was the best but I do not consume that anymore. I have also tried it with apple, banana, and jicama which were all excellant. My friends and Mom loved it.

Note: The homemade raw almond butter taste just as great, if you don’t want to use the store brand.

I meant to post this since march and I thought I did. Oops! It took me awhile to figure out how to get to the unpublished recipes. lol
