A deserving, delectable desert! I paired mine with chocolate-mint tea (water and chocolate mint leaves from my garden – you can brew it in the sun or serve warm). It would also be wonderful with a small glass of nutmilk or coconut water. This desert is very easy to make. Treat yourself to this fast and fabulous finger food!!! Also great for hot dates, makes a sexy sweet!
2 Tablespoons Raw Cacao Beans or Nibs
2 Tablespoons Raw Coconut Butter
1 Tablespoon Raw Agave Nectar or Raw Honey
Fresh Fruit to Fill: I used organic figs and baby bananas
Put cacao beans or nibs, coconut butter and raw sweetener into food processor. Process until ingredients unite. This mixture will be slightly chunky. I like mine that way, it reminds me of coconut flavored chocolate chips. If you want it creamier than use cacao powder. You can always add a dash of water here and there to get the texture more buttery.
Carefully scoop centers out of your fruit. Fill centers full. Induldge and enjoy.
Addtions: If you want to jazz it up even more (trust me, it’s sweet already) add vanilla bean, cinnamon, cayenne, raw flavored extracts, etc. I fancy tasting the bitter-sweet-symphony of raw cacao and coconut butter together.
Well, the photo looks a tad bit off… or maybe I’m just odd minded lol It tasted great though!
Got leftover filling??? Little did I know this super short list of ingredients could make a wonderful piece of raw chocolate candy… I decided to put my leftover filling into a little stainless steel cup, cover it and place it in the fridge. I took it out a few hours later and it made a divine piece of raw chocolate candy… almost like one of those mounds or almond joy candy bars. Next time I will place a few raw almonds in the middle before setting. It would also be awesome with nut butter in the middle. I am not a fan of leftovers but after this experience I would be glad to get stuck with leftover filling!!! So make a little extra and put your filling intp some cute containers or ice cube shape trays I have hello kitty ones! and set in the fridge. Come on chocoholics, get crafty!
