Kombucha is a living health drink made by fermenting green and/or black tea and sugar with the kombucha culture. The result can taste like something between sparkling apple cider and champagne, depending on what kind of tea you use. It's not what you'd imagine fermented tea to taste like. You can buy Kombucha at the health food stores, but usually it's about 4 dollars or so for a tiny bottle. Home brewing is easy and very economical. Why not learn how to make it?
Subjects to be covered:
Kombucha tea, fermentation, where to get supplies, special teas and combinations.
Class goes for 1 to 1.5 hrs.
Cost: $20, including a Kombucha culture plus detailed written instruction.
Note: if you can't attend the class for this date, I do have them monthly and I also provide kombucha tea making kits for $10 if that works better for you as well.
