Soaking almonds

Must we soak almonds if they have already been steam pasteurized? I assume the steam pasteurization releases the trypsin inhibitors. Also, do pasteurized almonds contain heat formed toxins?

Pasteurized almonds are not raw foods anymore--I'd explore alternatives.
