"Maraschino" cherry recipe?

ambiguousambiguous Raw Newbie

So I spent a large amount of money on fresh, off-season cherries. Of course, they don't taste too great, but they're a beautiful bright cherry red. I'd love to make some maraschino-type cherries out of them (like those bright red cherries in a jar used for topping desserts), but before I just pit them and maybe make some sort of cherry juice/agave syrup, I thought I'd ask this community if anyone has experience doing this sort of thing, or has seen a raw recipe somewhere.

Thanks!
