Back and forth to Raw : Nuts question
Over the past few years I have gone through phases where I cut out grains, and attempt an 80% raw food diet. While my digestion improves when I cut out grains, I always seem to gain more weight. I attribute this to eating more nuts and seeds. Does anyone else experience this? I don't eat a lot of nuts, usually 1/4 cup of soaked almonds, 2 tbsp soaked sunflower seeds, 1 tsp of flax oil in dressing and a sliver of avocado a day. If anyone has any comments, that would be great.
i think there is too much fat in your daily diet. i'm not saying that i don't have this problem either, but maybe try just eating the almonds and cutting the others out or vice versa. i can usually eat only 2 tbsp of oil a day and no more than that. on the weekends, i splurge and buy an avocado, but i definitely see a difference in how i digest foods- it's a lot slower.
