Introductions
Hello from Nebraska
Hey guys!
I am super excited to have found this site. I have been vegetarian for while now in preparation for going vegan, then raw. Right now I am eating mostly raw, with the exception of a couple meals a week. I feel completely different than I did a
year ago. I can't even begin to explain it.
I also would like to get to a point where I am growing as much of my intake as possible. I would love to cleanse my body of all the radicals I was building until this point, and this site really will be helpful! I am looking forward to talking to you all!!

New to the forum... would like advice
Hi everyone! My name is Holly. I am thirty years old.
Hello from Florida!!!!
I am new to raw foods and trying to get the hang of it. I am in school to become a massage therapist and it has opened doors and my eyes!!! I have learned many things from the classes I have been taking and one thing that sticks in my mind is "you really are what you eat". I have been against eating fast food for a long time now and try to watch what I eat. Learning about how food effects your body really has opened my eyes to going toward a raw food diet, it's just the best for your body. Our current foods found in many grocery stores have been compromised by fillers, pesticides, hormones, antibiotics and chemicals not normally found in food and it's killing us slowly. This is just my opinion. I have two young boys to take care of and I want to set them on the right track by eating right and healthy. I have never seen so much obesity in children as I have seen just within the last 10 years and the problem is only getting worse. But I look forward to learning about this great website and the different recipes here. I can't wait to try them! If anyone has any pointers on what to do if you're new, as in where to look first, please let me know. Other than that...hello and I look forward to meeting everyone!
I'm new and not so confused anymore
I am doing this because my stomack isn't working very well and I want to try raw to see if that works
-because raw means using less energy cooking and that is good for the environment (ok
blender is using energy argh LOL)
I love raw food
I want to start off very nicely just telling myself I do great and forgive myself if I don't do so great because I've discovered that's what works for me. I will also be nice to you.
I will eat cooked food when I visit my mother because she's allergic to almost all raw vegetables and I will eat cooked food if it's very unpolite to deny but I won't make cooked food myself:-)
that's my plan!
Hi Hi Hi from PEI
Hi I am new, obviously, and I have been reading the book detox for women. I went to a natreopath (spelling?) about 8 months ago and she told me I most likely had a systemic yeast infection and gave me better vitamins than I could ever get the drug store and some digestion aids. I have been eating my usual diet all along but she had tried to explain a recommemded diet to me. I was skeptical and wasn't ready to listen. I was in a diet that had me eating protien and carbs every 2 and a half hours. I was gaining weight and feeling worse. About a week ago, my cosmic guides led me to this book in a bookstore. I was flying the next day so I thought it'll give me something to read. I read the whole book and it occurred to me that this was what my doc had been trying to explain. She was showing me on a piece of lined scribbler paper and I wasn't really listening. I am listening now. Everything made sense and I have a reference book. I have been eating as recommended for 5 days so far and can feel the changes already. I'm not happy about the bloating but that should be temporary.
Anyway, it is nice to see that there is a place to go for some support. I hope to get healthy and find others who are after the same thing.
