Low Sugar Mint Chocolate Drink
This drink is adapted from Everyday Raw by Matthew Kenney and is delicious! The sugar content is very low (about 16 grams per serving from the agave). The original recipe used more agave which you can if you like! It's not very minty so if you want more mint flavour, add a lot more mint leaves ;) If you're turned off by opening a coconut, DON"T BE! It gets easier the more you do it and it's SO worth it. Not as thick as a chocolate shake but is delish and very similar!
Sweet Vanilla Almond Milk with Honey
I have been raw for like, less than a week, and this is the first recipe-type thing that I have created! This is a SUPER EASY and simple drink that is very refreshing and sweet! There aren't even any real measurements, but I made this about 5 minutes ago and it was so good that I decided to post it. A lot of people have probably had this/something similar, but oh well. :)
Non Alcoholic Sangria Punch
For a zesty Summer drink, you just can’t go past this non alcoholic Sangria, which never fails to refresh and satisfy. There are a ton of wonderful non alcoholic Sangria recipes out there that use a variety of fruits. A lot of recipes use pears and apples. But I really like the tartness of citrus fruits – any excuse to use lemon and limes. I used an equal mix of unsweetened cranberry juice and red grape juice to keep the punch that lovely burnt blood red that resembles the color of Sangria wine. Then I added a little bit of freshly squeezed orange juice to balance out the flavors. Most Sangria recipes add in chopped fruit. But I like to blend everything up to get a lovely rustic velvety texture. Throwing in a whole orange, lemon and lime gives it a zesty edge; and the fruit and juice is so naturally sweet that there is no need for any additional sweetener. This is a great drink to offer up at your next Summer BBQ or picnic. Just give the flavors time to infuse before serving for the best results.
