These are a heavenly treat – a raw vegan version of mince pies that’s chocolaty too. Great for Christmas or any time of year!

Discovery Apple Pie

I'm in the UK for the summer, and discovery are one of the first apple varieties to come into season. They are so much fun because their flesh is tinged pink! My boyfriend's tree is providing us with loads of them, so I came up with this. It's simple, just sweetened with dates and really tasty.

Of course, you could use any type of apple, but the tarter the better!

I Need a Vanilla Milkshake!

To my delight, this shake is more vanilla than banana. I made this to cure a craving my husband was having. I think one of the keys is to use a less ripe frozen banana. The less ripe the less banana flavor. This recipe was the answer to my previously SAD eater husband when he told me he was REALLY craving a vanilla milkshake. It's not just delicious, it also provides great energy and usable protein! Check out other recipes at http://reneegoesraw.wordpress.com/
Enjoy!

Green Pea and Almond Dip

The second this dip hit my lips, it was love at first bite – I immediately became intoxicated with the unique zesty flavor and crunchy texture. This dip epitomizes the “blend and chow in under 5 minutes” philosophy that I am so fond of. It is dead easy, bursting with flavor, and incredibly versatile. Another added bonus is that the flavor mix is different from your hog standard store bought dips, and makes a unique addition to the nibble plate at your next dinner. This is fantastic slathered on rice cakes, tortilla chips, toasts, raw tacos or veggie sticks. I have been whipping up this dip to rave reviews for over ten years. I hope this will become a staple in your “delectable dip” repertoire, just as it has in mine.
