My favorite cereal of all time! This cereal is both crispy and soft with a buckwheat, cacao, and vanilla dough that is dehydrated until crispy. Next I add in a cranberry, raisin, flax seed, cookie that is chewy, soft, and super good! Last but not least a nut milk that fuses the flavors together. This date and nut torte is a great alternative to a traditional birthday cake. It tastes amazing, the kids loved it.. and so did we!
The frosting has a nice lemon zing to it.
We used a food processor to whip this up but you may be able to get away with using a blender if that's all you have on hand.
This is my super yummy answer to some popular seed and nut bars. Sweet and nutty and lots of flavor! Great as a quick breakfast, an afternoon snack, a post workout kick, and pretty much anytime you need a little something! I added raw Maca powder because of its stress reducing, stamina and (libido) busting, and fatigue fighting powers. Chia seed is great for its ability to energize, not to mention its rich in omega fatty acids AND a great source of fiber in general.
