1/2 avocado + 1 to 1.5 cups of cold water
1 banana
2 tbsp. wheat germ *(optional)
1 to 2 handfuls baby spinach
agave to taste
protein powder * (optional)
a few ice cubes
Blend well. I have a crappy old blender, so it takes a while...
* I know many people on this site are high raw/gluten free/soy free/vegan. So some ingredients are optional. I add the wheat germ for the vitamin E and Folic acid benefits and a nutty taste, although I suppose ground nuts could be used instead. I use Life's Basics protein powder. It is a pea, hemp, rice and chia seed blend (vegan and gluten free, but not raw) and it has a green phyto nutrient blend in it too.
This is my favorite "go to" smoothie for high calorie/high nutrients after a workout for before going to school.

This is a lovely sweet potato tagine with lots of crunch! You could dehydrate it to warm through and soften or use some warm water before blending.
I wanted to make something delicious and a bit decadent to put on top of some sliced apples or berries and came up with this sweet and creamy treat
I hope you will enjoy it too.
Use it over fruit, inside cookies, on top of cereal or cakes for a rich and creamy dreamy flavor
(*if you don't like the flavor of banana~it can be omitted and replaced with about 1/2 an avocado or just omit completely)
Fancy treat on fruity budget!

Quick and simple to prepare, bowl-licking tasty. Great over kale--I just ate the entire (673 Calorie) recipe, which generously coated one bunch (6 cups?) of kale. It would probably make a good coating for dried kale chips, and it would make a nice flavored mayonnaise, too. Inspired by a few of the wonderful recipes on this site.
