Secret Workout Smoothie
I have in my hands the most delicious recipe for an amazing pre or post-workout shake. This smoothie works great for a quick burst of long lasting energy, combining the powerful health benefits of superfoods with carbohydrates and protein. The maca helps to temper and balance out your adrenals, the bananas are an excellent source of quickly digestible carbohydrates (40-60 minutes), the lucuma powder gives the shake a nice caramel flavor, and the almond milk makes it super creamy and smooth. Plus, the cinnamon aids in digestion and gives it a nice little send off. What could be better?
I Need a Vanilla Milkshake!
To my delight, this shake is more vanilla than banana. I made this to cure a craving my husband was having. I think one of the keys is to use a less ripe frozen banana. The less ripe the less banana flavor. This recipe was the answer to my
previously SAD eater husband when he told me he was REALLY craving a vanilla milkshake. It's not just delicious, it also provides great energy and usable protein! Check out other recipes at http://reneegoesraw.wordpress.com/

Oh My Caramel Green Smoothie
I'm now on detox (after Christmas' abuses...) and I WANTED to eat that so delicious carrot and caramel raw cake in the fridge... So I decided to create a caramel Green Smoothie to undergo that craving! My husband, who loves smoothies, (but not the greens ones!) told me, after tasting: "Oh... you can make me THAT kind of green smoothie..." Victory!
