I like packing these cookies in my jersey pockets for a bike ride or snacking it during the day. A quick energy cookie. I get a small ice cream scooper and use that for each of the cookie so they all shape and dry evenly.

Limebars1_thumb

I love Lara Bars, but not the price, so I decided to try and make a yummy version of my own. :) My 6 year old loves these, and would eat the whole pan if I let her. :)

Bananamillet_thumb

Simple, tasty, and easy to transport!

Img_1289-large_thumb

My FAVORITE quick meal. I love the bitterness of the tahini, the sweetness of the carrots and the spicyness of the onion.

Tart, sweet and crunchy

I was attempting to make Real Hummus, but I screwed up the sesame seeds and ended up making sesame mylk. I was thinking of what I could do with the chickpeas and that it how I came up with this. It’s a nice snack—a good potato chip or popcorn replacement.

My first recipe post since going raw 2 days ago!

Chocolate cravings solved! Wonderfully creamy and delicious raw chocolate w/ almonds.

This is sooo good! it tastes like something really really bad for you, which is always sinfully good.

Cut the ingredients in pieces and put it through the juicer

This is a wonderful spicy-sweet tropically inspired salsa. Add it to wraps, salads, or pair with “Raw” Chips.

Granola2_thumb

http://www.cheflandria.com

The granola I make at home are always different. It depends on what I feel like putting in. In this recipe, I like to have a good nutty pumpkin seed taste and pumpkin seeds lowers cholesterol, promotes prostate health, helps prevent osteoporosis and of course it taste delicious!

I had a stomach thing and the only thing I wanted was fruity pudding (go figure?) I threw this together and it was perfect. Play with the measurements to suit you

Raw_recipe_photos_014_thumb

“Can’t Help Falling in Love” with this “a hunk, a hunk of burning love” parfait.

This is a pretty simple recipe… it’s so simple I almost feel like I’m wronging you by calling it a recipe. I had the spices around the house and always have flax seed. + I LOVE avocados. This Avocado-Flax love concoction idea sprouted after I found this simple-flaxy-love idea: http://www.goneraw.com/recipes/3593-easy-flax-grated-cheese-

Enjoy! :)

These are really small, two-bites pizzas that are fresh and yummy. I only made 8 using a small zuchini, but just increase the other ingredients to your preference. I also experimented with sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, and a little salt/pepper but I prefered the simple pizzas best. Enjoy!

Dsc01552_thumb

Took this camping and couldn’t stop eating it.

Creamy dark purple “soft-serve ice cream” that tastes like chocolate-covered blueberries!

Adapted from a recipe by Alissa Cohen. I found it on Raw Food Talk, but I believe it is also in her book – Living on Live Food.

“Served warm out of the dehydrator, these are heavenly! These taste like a soft, breaded, cooked, stuffed mushroom.”

My 1 year olds favorite right now. Makes a good breakfast or snack.

Strawberry-smoothie_thumb

Fruity smoothie with a hint of wheatgrass with a refreshing aftertaste.

Berrysmoothie_thumb

For those who love hemp and for those you would like a super healthy nutritious snack!

This is pretty close to commercial yogurt in texture and tartness. I like to mix in some berries pureed with a little agave nectar, and sprinkle a little granola on top.

ridiculously healthy chocolate

a summer staple for me on those long hot days!

Cheflandria’s Everyday Raw Food Recipe

Another out-of-the blue thought. I hope you enjoy it. This recipe is very tasty.

Red_white_and_green_drink_thumb

Place ingredients one by one in juicer. Pour into glass, relax and Enjoy. Or great on the go refreshing energy booster. Option: Spoon out some of the vegetable and fruit fiber in the juicer extractor and stir into juice for added texture and fiber. Delicious, uplifting drink.

Now you can have a proper English Tea! I included the recipe for my favorite spread, it’s a pretty close match, but feel free to experiment with your own.

Nutritious and satisfying!

Granola_thumb

Simple, healthy granola. Since it’s already so nut-heavy, I generally serve it with nana milk, plus a handful of raisins.

You can increase or decrease the amount of dates to make it more or less sweet, but you’ll also make the final granola more or less chewy. I used 20 dates last time I made it, & found it too sweet for my tastes, & too chewy to really be granola – still tasted good though. (The photo is from the batch I made with too many dates – you can still see some large pieces of date in there – I’ll change it when I make the next batch.) The cinnamon is mostly there to make the whole thing taste a little sweeter – you can also add a pinch of salt if you like, which will make it taste sweeter still.

This is my “I just back back from yoga and I’m crazy hungry” salad. It is also perfectly in season right now.

Raw_1_thumb

I have had such a crazy craving for cinnamon lately. Here’s what I came up with and boy it was yummier than I thought.

So after making the lovely carrot crackers I wanted to try and use zucchini in the same fashion but make it sweet like bread so I threw this together. So far it smells lovely, can’t wait to try it!

Yoghurt_thumb

I love yoghurt and it has been hard to give it up, so I decided to try and concoct a recipe which allowed me to have ‘yoghurt’ but raw! It is basically almond milk without the liquid consistency.

Could possibly be frozen for ice cream (?)

Not a great photo :/ Sorry!

Nanaimo Bars are a delicious three-layered confection that originated in Nanaimo, BC. They are super rich, and usually made with tons of butter, sugar, and eggs. You can easily find these at coffee shops/Tim Horton’s/etc in Canada. This is my first attempt at making a raw version, and they turned out pretty well. The two outer layers are chocolatey, and the middle is usually a sweet custardy filling. Some places add mint or coffee flavoring here, but in this recipe, the almond butter makes it almost like an Almond Nanaimo Bar.

Layer 3 (below) is supposed to be a chocolate frosting. While it’s pretty good, if you have your own recipe for it, I would love to hear an alternate version.

Chocotruffles1_thumb

http://www.cheflandria.com

These are quick and easy chocolate truffles I really like making. You can roll it in carob powder or shredded coconut. Yum!

This is one of my favorite things to eat. When I started going raw, I was so glad that I could still have this. I don’t know what is so great about it, the taste(although not the ideal food combining :) combinations are just so good to me.

001-large_thumb

A very fresh, very delicious version of salsa with corn. Put on top raw burgers, salads, tacos, or make some corn chips to scoop it up (I will be posting a corn-chip recipe soon)!

I use to make this with regular yogurt, but since going raw, this is an excellent addition to my collection.

Spanish_cauliflower_pilaf-large_thumb

An easy and lovely recipe adapted from the book Ani’s Raw Food Kitchen.

Img_7538-large_thumb

Who does not love apples with cinnamon? :)

I love this in the morning. I love the way you can change this dish and not have it the same way twice in one week. You can top it with my Black Tar (recipe found here) put in some raisins with maple syrup and cinnamon. I even like it with apples and cinnamon. Top it with almond milk. Pop it into your dehydrator as you prepare for the day for an hour or so till warm. YUMM! You can really have fun with this.Enjoy

Ryplei_spring_concert_2008_001-large_thumb

Bright citrus overtones with a creamy sweet finish, perfect for a warm summer day.

Warning! These addicting things are my best version of the Living Nutz company’s Vegan Cheezy nutz. At $7.00 for about 25 almonds, I decided to make them myself. These are great for snacking on the trail, at work or while traveling.

Courtesy of kidshealth.org although a great snack or side dish for adults as well.

006-large_thumb

Reminicent of an Almond Joy, these truffles are a great pick-me-up and they take only 15 min to make! Kids love to make (and eat) these too! They are great to pack in a lunch or for travelling.

My girlies love to drink this “Princess Pink” smoothie while watching their Disney Princess movies.

Applecado_thumb

A yummy pudding or mousse like dish with a nice, yogurt-like tang. It’s great on grawnola or fruit, or eaten by itself!

I call this power up because it takes only one or two to fill me up and give me energy! This bar is not really sweet so you could always add a little agave.

Craving the sweet and salty thing, I put this together. Measurements and ingredients are very optional. Kids love it!

Reminds me of the hot dip I loved during holidays! It also makes great pesto if you replace the cashew butter with a little olive oil. Great on raw crackers and vegetables. I ate mine with carrot sticks for a quick “cheese” fix!

Img_4756-large_thumb

They are delicious and can be made into little flax rounds.

Picture_007-2_thumb

A raw vegan coulorful layered mouse I created today. It is a perfect late night dessert, because it is so light for your digestive system. It took me about 30-45 minutes to have it finished. This is counting pealing, slicing, placing spring form in the fridge several times. After this, it does require several hours of chilling to allow to set.

Img_0015-large_thumb

This is based on Matt amsden’s onion bread, except i used red onion and didn’t use nama shoyu (because I didn’t have any). This is the first thing i made with my new dehydrator and it turned out absolutely delicious! I will DEFINETLY be making more of this!

This recipe is not all mine. I changed the recipe by adding the Braggs and hemp seeds. I don’t know where Braggs rates on the non-raw scale, so you could certainly just put the sea salt in instead. And I understand some don’t use the yeast either. So mix up as you desire.

Cardamom_plum_pudding_thumb

I had a bag full of plums from my farmer’s market that were going to go bad soon, so I wanted to use them up. Came up with this yummy snack! This would make a divine fruit leather, as well, I imagine.

Yea, i know its a silly name. but i thought it fit hehe :). this a very delicious and nutritious drink that u=i have every morning before i eat anything solid including smoothies.

060808_17121_thumb

Just a little cool something for those hot summer days.

I carried these around with me for the entire first year I was raw. If I had a craving, I’d just “pop” a fudge ball. These are amazingly fudgy: Rich enough to satisfy the most passionate chocoholic!

Apricotgoodies_thumb

These are exceptionally good! The first time I made them I set them on a plate outside in the afternoon and they were gobbled up in no time by non-rawers! Even the birds wanted a taste :o)

Ok, so i love Sour Straws. You know, those ones that come in the bright packaging and full of red 40? Lol. But these- the ones i cam up with are great! And taste just like the junk food; only way better for you…And plus there’s no guilt.

Pb040427_thumb

Very simple and elegant dish. Similar combination of dates and almond paste is a North African tradition, such as Algeria.

These are the yumiest sweet snack , my daughters love making and devouring them!

Img_1323_thumb

This is a spin-off from my banana pancakes recipe.

Flaxavo3_thumb

A winner: a creamy, tangy morish, paste redolent with fresh basil, that can be tweaked to taste and has a variety of applications. Serve with crudite, on crackers, as topping and more…

This is really good and is very simple. My daughter rarely gives any of the raw foods I make a chance but she really likes this one.

Img_1297-large_thumb

I just got a spiralizer and have been spiralizing everything! This turned out to be a hit with the kids! Yeah whatever works! ANd it was easy and fast!

Refreshingly sweet and rich blackberry popsicles. Warning: WILL stain your mouth!

I am so excited to share this with you as it is my very first Raw foods discovery.

OK, This is a recipe that I discovered from achin70’s recipe called ‘8 Easy Cacao Snacks’ I did not read the directions properly in my excitement to try my new foods, and I discovered this Yummy yummy powdered surprise instead… Enjoy!!!

This drink is very creamy, and pulpy. The flavors are refreshing for a breakfast smoothie, or a mid-day snack. Enjoy!

Img_1086-large_thumb

I’ve been enjoying all sorts of chia puddings since getting the idea from the “tapioca” chia pudding on this site. This was my attempt to create one reminiscent of the rice pudding my grandma used to make for breakfast!

100b4000_thumb

Light, crispy carrot chips that can be served with your favorite dip or salsa, or just plain. The recipe was inspired by a very similar recipe for corn chips from Frederic Patenaude. Simple to make and very yummy!

This is a good, basic superfood smoothie to get you going in the morning or pick you up in the afternoon!

Dsc04898_thumb

I was trying to make almond butter but it just wasn’t the right consistency, so I decided to add carob, and then all these other wonderful things….rawcolate balls were born.

Gorgeous bread Essene style, very tasty!

Harmony_s_food_062-large_thumb

Sweet and creamy way to get your papaya seeds to do a nice cleanse!

005resize_thumb

A quick and easy nut & seedless salmon spread. This spread is also killer with soaked sunflower seeds but I wanted to make a version that didn’t contain nuts or seeds since I created it to use in a meal that already has nuts and seeds in it. Too much good stuff can cause havoc on my damaged digestive tract so here is an easier version. This spread does taste very carrrot like so if you want more flavor then add more herbs and dulse seaweed flakes. I prefer mine more on the simple side so that I can truly appreciate the wholesome taste of the carrots. If you’re a nut-slut then this might be too bland for you. However, this is a good nut & seedless an alternative for someone wanting less calories and fat grams since less calorically dense ingredients are used.

I use this spread in my “Mock Philly Rolls” paired with a sunflower sprout salad & grated ginger agave dressing and raw kombucha!

Light, Sweet & Crispy! Perfect for those sweet cravings! Vanilla and Cinnamon are optional.

sO fun!easy. tasty.great snack.perfect for kids!

inspired by my kitchen visitor this morning who was nice enough to pose for the picture

Perfect for the kids or for a raw snack food that is fat-free.

Banana bread was the ultimate in comfort food. These oaties do the trick and will take additions/substitutions easily.

Spicy snacks perfect for anytime! I just created these the other night so i haven’t played around with toppings yet, but these would probably be good as chips for guacamole.

A super-sweet peachy smoothie that is more of a dessert than anything! My picky kids love this smoothie and it is one of my favorites!

(btw – I only had one fresh peach so that is why I mixed fresh and frozen)

Hearty, yummy, warm, and almost sausagey.

Plain philly cream cheese. This recipe is a quick and easy, dreamy cream cheesy. Use it in sushi! Spread it on raw bread, tortillas, bagels, muffins, treats! How about a yummy red pepper relish mixed with cream cheese for a suculent chip dip! Lather up a long celery stalk and chomp chomp chomp! You apple slices might want to take a double dip trip! You can also use this as a base start for raw cheesecake filling, all you’d need to add is some vanilla and agave or honey…Go wild why don’t you?! I created this to go in my “Mock Philly Roll”

3_thumb

Fast. Easy. No Questions Asked.

All you do is cut the catcus and mix the guacamole together.

This is a SIMPLE guacamole recipe. I really enjoy the fresh fiesta taste of avocado, heirloom tomato and cilantro! There are so many things you can add to liven it up: Fresh pressed garlic, chopped: onions, tropical fruits, stone fruits, bell pepper, cactus, sprouts, sunflower or hemp seeds, sprouted lentils, etc. - chili powder, cayenne, thai spices, dulse, raw honey or agave nectar… you get the idea!

This is my nightly addiction, love the Middle Eastern flavors and it takes about 5 minutes to concoct. It’s all to taste, I like to think of it as my calcium supplement!

Marjoriespics_043-large_thumb

I cant remember where I found this recipe but it’s really a great snack to serve up super quick on anything crisp,I am very fond of it on celery

i know there are lots of ice cream recipes out there, but this is just too simple not to post.

I picked up this recipe from a family activities paper and just changed the nut butter to raw. My 2 year old loves it, especially when I mash raspberries and make into a ‘drizzle’ and pour over the banana. The (non-raw) neighbor children ask for the ‘special’ banana as well! Hope you enjoy!

Fondue_nite_002-large_thumb

I got this recipe from www.rawdorable.com. I think she has brilliant ideas for kid-friendly food!

This would be perfect for a picnic when everyone else is eating hot dogs. You could even do a simple syrup of strawberries or raspberries and agave for “dipping ketchup” for the fries if you wanted.

Img_3122_thumb

This photo is before they went into the dehydrator…Unfortunately there’s no after picture!! But, I can tell you I thought they would come out a bit discolored and and gross looking, but they didn’t.

003_thumb

A delicious, nutritious start to your day! I eat this for lunch or diner too! Use fresh, organic fruit from your local farmer’s market. Any combination works! Enjoy

Phillyrollgd3_thumb

A fish free inspired Philly! This recipe requires some work but is well worth it!!!

Home made halva. Totally raw & totally delicious!!

This smoothie takes me to another world…..!

So simple and amazing! As you can see from the picture, the color is gorgeous and is very light and frothy…

Rawkimchisoup2pp0_thumb

This delish soup will be sure to bring you some CHI! I created this because the kimchi I buy is spicy and irrates my sensitive throat. I really enjoy the taste of it though and had to find a way to “have my chi and eat it too”... so I decided to take cooling cucumber and creamy avocado and make it into a soup!

This is a great dip. I find that I change my measurements everytime I make it. It’s best to use your intuition. Make it for how you feel in the moment!

Enjoy!

Reminiscent of summers as a child, chasing the ice cream truck for an astropop! These cool treats are the exact color of astropops and they taste just like them too!

*I’ll add a picture of mine once I get a better camera! It couldn’t capture the beauty!

Misc_084_large_e-mail_view_thumb

Finally! A raw treat all 3 of the picky kids loved!!

Olives_thumb

Olives are disgusting straight off the tree. Commercially they are cured using lye, eg. caustic soda, which neutralizes the bitter taste. After which they are pasteurized. I prefer to do it with water and keep them raw.

depending on how long you dehydrate, this can be like a bread or a cracker. I left mine bread like and spread some icing on top. Delicious!!

This recipe originally called for tequila to be mixed with the lime-juice, but it is just as good without. It’s a good dish to serve at a party, and kids seem to like it too.

For the chili powder, I left the amount blank, because it really depends on the type you are using and your personal “spicy” preference. I use chipotle chili powder (not technically raw), and usually put around 1/2 tsp.

Indulge’s recipe from GLiving.tv. Super yummo!

Probably too simple to be a ‘recipe’ but I love them! Light and flavorful snacks…A good way to use up extra onions…I blend 6 or 7 rings into salad dressings to add a nice sweet onion flavor.

This recipe is an adaptation of several recipes – two by Chad Sarno, and one by Vanessa on GLiving. Chad Sarno calls it “Trio of Shaved Cabbages with Sweet Sesame Vinaigrette” – it really can be a simple salad or an elegant party dish. I just use what I have on hand, and the vinaigrette is never the same twice, but this always turns out so tasty. You can also add sliced baby bok choy, hemp seeds, etc. Hope you enjoy it!

Raw_recipe_photos_080__2__thumb

I love the fact that each topping ingredient is a different color. It’s pleasing to the eyes and the tummy.

This is for those like me who can’t be bothered to actually make the cookies. My daughter insisted I post this, she loved it. This is my daily afternoon comfort food.

Bananasnack_thumb

Whether you’re very busy and in or a rush, or a poor college kid who can’t afford a decadent dessert, or just new to raw foods and are still hungry after a salad (or all three!), this is the snack/dessert for you. It’s simple and sweet. I got this recipe from my sister. It’s a lot like elizabeth’s “Chewy Banana Oaties” but without the oaties…

Just mix all together….soooooo goood ad so simple….tastes like a gourmet dessert

sorry for the mix up! edited it…

These are a work in progress! But hopefully going to turn out ok!

This is Karen Knowler’s recipe : http://karenknowler.typepad.com

But i wanted to share it because its the perfect pudding (or breakfast!) for the summer, as its made totally out of fruit! And it doesnt need added sweetner(s)! Plus It’s quick, easy, healthy and delicious!

tastes just like italian triscuit!!

If you love carrots and caraway than you’ll be sure to bunny-hop-skip-jump-shimmy shimmy rocka over this quick and easy raw soupa!

I just bought and opened my first coconut! I wanted something cold and chocolately and this is what I came up with! =)

I made this tonight as a dessert and it was amazing! I got David Wolfe’s raw cocao beans at our local healthfood store, but I know you can buy them on-line too. Even though not state, of course the raisins and coconut are raw and organic too. To make date syrup, just blend dates and water. Agave would taste good too, but is not easy to find in a truly raw state.

Croquettes-large_thumb

I made these to take on a trip I’m going on tomorrow. They’re very plain so they would appeal to multiple tastes- the sauce will jazz them up- tahini or whatever you come up with.

Davidandlindsay_jan_2008_085__2_-large_thumb

Delicious tropical mix of mandarins, banana, papaya, mango, and coconut. Add pineapple if available. Best if organic.

These are superfood bliss balls that will keep you going for hours! I’ve included versions made with and without a food processor, and servings for 10 or for 1. The food processor version is more chocolatey and the flavors more blended, and the version made without the food processor has more distinct flavors, with the coconut and agave flavors coming through a little more. It’s also more interesting to look at. Note: I don’t know if regular coconut oil will work as well. If you use regular coconut oil, instead of Artisana Coconut Butter, you might need to use more sweetener, since Artisana’s coconut butter is sweet.

Cheflandria’s Everyday Raw Food Recipe

This cheesecake blew non-raw people away! I made it for an easter brunch as dessert. Those who ate it could not believe the silky and tasty cheesecake – dairy, egg free.

Hmmness_053_thumb

This is a really easy granola that reminds me of fall. I’m a big fan of cinnamon and so this satisfies my sweet tooth and is helpin’ me out with nutrients, too! I get two SAD people with one nut! hehe. I crack myself up. ;P

But it does make your house smell pretty good.

Delicious, creamy, caramelly flavor. Reminds me of milkshakes I had when I was a fountain girl at Friendly’s in highschool!

Approximate Calories 250

This recipe started with a modified version of the Cashew Icing that Crisyn posted (shout out to Crisyn!!! Thank you!) I just had some left in the frig and felt like a sweet and grabbed the closest thing on my table…a banana. If you make the topping ahead of time and chill it for a while, it is thicker and IMHO tastes better for this recipe. My very-not-raw DM loved it! Hope you do too!

Well after falling off the raw wagon by air-popping some popcorn I wanted to find something to substitute popcorn with. This was my solution and I think it is yummy!

Be creative with this one. Add as many veggies as you want. This is great for just snacking on or mix with zuchinni strands for a more Asian appeal.

P1020589_thumb

A family snack that goes back generations. If you have a craving for something salty give this a shot!

NICE SWEET, FROZEN TREAT FOR THOS HOT SUMMER DAYS! THESE TASTE LIKE THOSE NON-RAW FRUIT POPS (BUT BETTER!)

JUST LIKE WHEN YOU WERE A KID! CHOCOLATELY PUDDING POPS!

My lavender has just come into bloom and I couldn’t wait to use it! This was a lovely dessert but would also make a great breakfast. I like it quite sweet but you can skip the dates if you like.

A great sauce to try if you want to transition to raw but not ready to go all the way yet. It can also help get rid of some celery hiding in the fridge. Not 100% raw but it can be modified to be 100%.

These are delicious….you’ll love them. It’s actually an adopted recipe of my mom’s SAD granola bars.

Banana_choc_cupcakes_thumb

What a delicious treat! And what a fun and festive delight to serve at parties, especially in place of cupcakes for kids!

Warm & “buttery” flavored, you will find these more delicious than the cooked version.

This is so simple and absolutely exquisite!

Cookies1_thumb

These are nice and chewy! They harden up real good when left out on a plate for a couple hours, either way is really good. This will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth!

052708_15331_thumb

For those who want something other than chocolate this is your answer.

Power packed, sweet, creamy pudding, great before a workout as it will flood you with energy. Adapted from a Thrive recipe. I use the artisana brand coconut butter.

Velvet smooth, gloriously golden, and dancing with taste this soup will have to be photographed next time round.

These are very yummy and quite spicy! Great with walnut pate or simple mashed avocado! They are a great snack if you want a chip like crunch!

I use the mixture of seeds because it gives it a really nice look.Tastes nice too!

Smoothie_thumb

A nice refreshing pick me up with a ginger citrus like zing. Very healthy, provides lots of antioxidants and omegas!

Hummus1_thumb

make your own by mimicking nature! no more little expensive jars from raw capitalists… transported from far far away.. i mean olives are staple food around here.. you can’t buy a little jar – olives are bulk only! so here’s how to make your own sun dried salt-free most delicious richly flavored pure olives…

I posted this because it seems that I hardly ever see the word mushrooms in a raw recipe unless they are marinated in Nama Shoyu. (yuck) These are much better and they are 100% Raw.

Sesame_balls_001-large_thumb

These are my substitute for the Chinese pastry. They are really melt in your mouth addictively delicious. A good one to try on non raw friends and family. There are only two in the photo because we ate most of them before I got the camera!

I made up this recipe and it tasted really good and satisfied my never ending chocolate cravings. Then about 5 minutes later I started to feel good…. REALLY good. Like I was on ecstasy good.

This might be a good thing to serve on a date…..

100_0024_thumb

Why is this stuff boiled and pasteurized?!?

Img_3117-large_thumb

These are so delicious! The first time I made them I just threw in whatever I had around, but they were so good that I’ve made them several times since using the exact same ingredients. Enjoy!

For when you’re craving something sweet…

Tabbouleh_20080105161838_thumb

“we” hold the record for the biggest tabbouleh (تبولة) ever right here in palestine! and look how green it is! not all traditional civilized foods are from hell… and you know what? this recipe is not only traditionally high in raw ingredients, it is also very green, and… it is eaten with whole fresh romaine leaves!

world's biggest tabbouleh

It’s sweet and spicy at the same time, and it works well on both veggies and fruit. It’s easy to make and also tastes great. Try it as a dip for a snack or as a sauce for a wrap.

Img_9132_thumb

Nutty, fruity and chewy-moist, light snack balls coated with schredded coconut. They are perfect as snacks but also for a late breakfast or as an addition to a fruit plate. They could be eaten right away or stored in the refrigirator for three days, or in the freezer.

Adapted from Standard Fruit Pie Crust (raw) from The American Vegetarian Cookbook by Marilyn Diamond.

When your craving for chocolate is super strong I guarantee this will satisfy it!

These are sweet, chocolatey and the goji berries give them a chewy tartness they are amazing. I had them for breakfast the other morning and I was go go go for 12 hrs, I just had juice for lunch! They are so good hope you enjoy them. Great as dessert too, especially if you want to wow some non raw people. :)

Our favorite salsa. It keeps well in the fridge, so I usually make a double or triple batch to keep everyone happy for a week at a time.

This is also really tasty if you add half a cup of this salsa to half an avocado and mash it all together. Serve with crackers/chips or veggie sticks.

PLEASE NOTE: I included this recipe in the Kids category, but it is not appropriate for children under one year.

I threw this together with leftovers from the fridge – it was quick and delicious

Energy bar that derived from Kim Wilson’s book Everyday Wholesome Eating…In the Raw.

Very rich and creamy.

Toffee_cookies_thumb

A soft sticky toffee cookie. A bit like English sticky toffy pudding.

The easiest, creamiest and tastiest cheese ever! Just takes a few minutes to make. I took the water out of the recipe because I never actually put water in and looking at photos of people’s creations which use this cheese the cheese looked a lot more liquidy than ours is. It really doesn’t need any water, trust me!!

Nannacream_thumb

This is a super delicious banana cream cake I made accidentally. Tastes so good and especially great for breakfast, filling too!!

When I get home from work, it’s time for my daily cacao fix! I have eight different combinations I use, and this is one of my favorites. I like to start out with a tablespoon of bee pollen straight, and then I follow it up with this little piece of heaven. Warning: This is very mildly sweetened, so many of you will need more goji berries to make it palatable for you! Also, I highly recommend the Artisana coconut butter, but if you use coconut oil, you might also need more gojis to sweeten it up.

When you need apple pie in five minutes or less…

This is another version of my banana “ice cream.” (See also “Chocolate Cherry Ice Cream”) I’ve had so much fun making (and of course, eating) different flavors of this frozen treat, that I finally decided to go all out and make a variety of flavors and toppings at once.

My non-raw husband couldn’t help but salivate over my newest masterpiece. I guess I could share a little.

This is a great breakfast or snack bar – and they travel really well. I like to get fresh, organic cherries during their peak season, freeze them and then make this recipe throughout the year.

The recipe is based on one by Matt Amsden in RAWVolution, but I have changed the type of fruit (to suit my love of cherries) and the ingredient measurements (to make the bars a bit moister). Also quite good with the original mix of strawberries, blueberries and/or raspberries.

I prefer this milk over nut milks! It is quick, easy, lighter, smoother and fat free. My Kids love it. It tastes slightly banana…but not overwhelming! Enjoy!

Lemon-cookies_thumb

Tart, chewy lemon macaroons. I’d recommend at least doubling this recipe, as the cookies are addictive and go quite fast!

Imag00770_thumb

These are SOO good! They are my favorite thing to eat as a midnight snack. They’re great to offer at parties and during holidays, too!

This pudding is my favorite way to eat the SUPER nutritious chia seed, which is a complete protein, and an excellent source of calcium. The Aztec messengers, running from place to place constantly, could subsist on just a handful a day!

Groovy-guacamole_thumb

This is a quick and tasty guacamole – you can make it in 15 minutes, and your friends won’t even know it’s raw.

Supersnack8h84_thumb

This will make a grilled meat type flavor and texture. Very hearty and even chewy. I worked on this for a year. Now it’s just right. Goes well with my “Sweet Tangy Southern Barbeque Sauce”

This is a wonderful raw version of the traditional broccoli salad with bacon and cheddar. Someone else deserves the credit for this recipe, but I can’t remember where I got it from. Sorry!

I am not a huge fan of onions, so I prefer to use only 1/4 cup, and add the onion to the dressing ingredients in the blender. I also sometimes throw the broccoli in the dehydrator for a while before I mix it with the other ingredients, just to soften it up a little.

Chick_pate_close_thumb

for a long time i failed to make a pate that suited my tongue’s tastebuds. somehow nothing tasted quite right. and sometimes they felt heavy in my stomach until this one!!! full of light! its good to know your own body, and callibrate it to your tastes. i even put it on kelp and zuk noodles and it was lush. its even better the next day.

Finally! Recipe from rawguru.com. I’m so excited about this one!

very much like the baked version!

A corn chip flavored with a hint of lime. PERFECT for salsa!

This tastes like raspberry yoghurt without that sour yogurt taste. You can also freeze the berries for a great smoothie.

there was a thread in forums on rituals, well irish soda bread with sharp cheddar cheese and tea is a sunday morning ritual here, so in my experimenting with breads that nonraw folks would eat, i tried this variation of a zuccini bread recipe i saw on the onion bread discussion. It satisifies the breakfast , sweet bread part, ima working on the sharp cheese part….;)

Spicy, tart and addictive. Great with guacomole or salsa.

Bars-3_thumb

It is sweet, but not too sweet. The maca powder gives it a creamy flavor. It is a chewy but crunchy firm mixture for bars that does not have to be

dehydratated, which is an advantage for those who still do not have a dehydratator yet or do want something quick. It took me about 15 minutes to have it ready.

My husband find this to be a perfect food for him to have after working out intensively. First he has a shake, and then one or two bars.

whether you call this a thin pudding, or a thick smoothie, it’s PRETTY PRRETTY PRRRETTY GOOD!! :9

The recipe name says it all! These are yummy, quick wraps for a snack or dinner. They’re good for breakfast too!

This reminded me of Mom’s Devil’s Food cake, only loaded with Superfoods! It is a small recipe so double or quadruple it to make Superfood brownies! I like this as an afternoon pick me up. Great for travel where the nutrition content of the food may not be so good. These are loaded with superfoods, agave-free, and are perfect for experimentation.

Sesamebar_thumb

!!NO DEHYDRATOR NEEDED!! These bars are sweetener free – they’re kindof like a Larabar. Just fruit and nuts!

Img_0073_thumb

I’m a granola junkie so I’m always on the lookout for a good one – and let me tell you, I’m pretty proud of myself for this! I had it with Nana Milk and it was mmm mmm gooood!!!

Cheez-rollups_thumb

These are tasty snacks modeled after a raw treat I picked up at our local co-op. A great idea for using up the rest of your sunflower pate after making raw lasagna.

Delicious whipped buttery spread. It even melts! Goes good on “better than sliced bread” (pictured here).

The most addictive cracker I have ever tasted in my entire life. I was trying to recreate the delicious “Mac and Cheese” crackers that Didi’s “Baking for Health” company makes, but ended up with something in my opinion even better! Remember that sprouted nuts have a MUCH lower fat content than dry raw nuts, and lots of vitamins (so that they can grow into a plant), so no need to feel guilty about eating them! I used to have “Moorshin” friends when I was little (Martians, in the spelling of a 4 year old), and I often prepared food for their visits (anything I could find in the kitchen with some green food coloring added in). These are slightly green due to the kale juice, and are truly otherworldly in taste, AND munchie-grade addictive, hence the name. I’d also like to point out that this recipe is food-combining-rules-friendly!

This treat is great treat any time of the day. Makes a great dessert or midnight snack! I made this up one day when I was craving something sweet with bananas in it.

Breakfast_001_thumb

So I think my roommates are tried of me using the blender and getting a little annoyed-especially when it wakes them up in the morning! So today I made this instead of my usual green smoothie. And while it doesn’t have any greens in it, it was still very tasty!

My_favorit_food2007_thumb

Mmmm, this is delicious! 11 am and this revs me up all day!...enough to pass up the super-buff guys running in Runyon Canyon :-)

Green_thumb

Refreshing, almost tingly green smoothy. I also added in my emergen-c pack and let it fizz. Sorry no picture, I drank it all too quick, but I will add one later.

Short on time? Starving for a roll? Try this.

Snack_boat_salad_recipe_004_thumb

Since going peanutbutter free, I eliminated my favorite snack…apples and carrots with peanutbutter :(. So now I’m addicted to raw almond butter. Made this today because I was craving carrots with almond butter…but everyone’s always saying “eat greens!” so to fill myself up and stop the munchies I put it all in one boat ;)! (btw…this is the first thing I’ve posted here…tres simple, I know.)

Adapted from “Rejuvenate Your Life” by Serene Allison. I found it on Raw Food Talk. I find this sauce is creamiest when I use soaked cashews. It can be used for pizza, on top of warmed broccoli, in lasagna, etc.

PLEASE NOTE: I have listed this recipe in the Kids category, but babies and some young toddlers (such as those with a family history of nut allergies) should not eat any nut products. Please consult your pediatrician before serving nuts to your child.

Yummycinnabuns_thumb

Just in time for the holidays, this cinnamon roll recipe satisfies the sweet tooth and the desire to continue a tradition.

My family always eats traditional cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning. Since I am the only one who eats raw, the rest of them will continue to indulge with their usual breakfast treat this year. But, I don’t have to miss out with this tasty solution.

And, it doesn’t have to be reserved for a special occasion. I have them for breakfast frequently, eating two of them with a side of fresh fruit. They also make a great snack or dessert.

Grawnola2_thumb

A really easy, really customizable granola that packs well for camping, the office, or is a yummy breakfast with almond milk!

My Mum used to make wonderful date squares when I was younger, and this is what I came up with after trying to create a gluten and sugar-free version. It just happens to be raw too!

Finally__sun_bread_thumb

One smell seems to send me straight to the mediterranean, one bite and i feel like a sunshine garden burst in my mouth! i could’nt stop nibbling on these things, putting it everywhere from salads, soups to just wrapping it around a cucumber stick.

the texture takes getting used to but let it sit in your container for a while (like overnight) after dehydration, gradually it will soften and taste like wholegrain bread sliced thin. I used an oven on the lowest temperature…basically a light, with the door ajar.

it is especially nice dipped in olive oil and balsamic vinegar…yummy! soaks up real quick! and so full of fibre, sweeping your insides clean in hyper speed.

This is very quick, very easy, and very nice when you’re craving an oriental type flavour. Keep in mind these measurements are estimates, so taste as you go.

crunchy fries for your favorite taco or burger

Adapted from “Living Cuisine” by Renee Underkoffler.

These are amazing, and so addictive! I usually double the recipe so they will last more than a few days.

Spicy-yam-chips_thumb

These spicy, crunchy chips were dreamed up during a fit of chip cravings you wouldn’t believe!

I make this whenever I have a craving for something naughty but nice. It tastes like a decadent dessert, but is much better for you than a pint of the commercial brands. Use regular organic cocoa or carob powder for a not completely raw version, or try it with raw cocoa powder if you are lucky enough to have some on hand.

These are the most delicious chips I have ever had. I made them last night. My husband who hates vinegar loved them and took some of them to work to share ( I have to work on the sharing part). I could honestly make these weekly.

What I love is that it inspired me to make other chips, like pesto chips, barbecue chips, Teriyaki chips, honey dejon chips. Tomato basil chips….........The list in my head goes on and on.

When you have a need to crunch, go make these chips. They are ready before bed if you make them when you first get home.

Greens will never go to waste in our home now.

Pssssssssst.. I used half kale, half dinosaur kale. The dino kale has more little crannies for the sauce to stick to. It’s really really good.

This is a 5 avocado recipe.

That means it’s PHAT….. PRETTY HOT AND TEMPTING!

Make these chips if you dare! :D :p

Yes you can be RAW and still eat a caesar salad!!!

My first attempt at a raw curry which reminded me of the vegetable korma I used to have at my local indian restaurant – and it was really easy to make, took about 5 minutes.
