Smoothie Recipes
This is a smoothie I made one morning for my older brother and I. The combination of ginger and beet is really soothing especially for the digestive tract and the citrus is really energizing. This got my morning started right. This uses a juicer and a Variable Speed Vita-mix. Oh! Be careful with the beet, it can stain everything in sight, including curious dogs!

I love fruits but the thought of a green smoothie right now—eeewww! Sorry! I am just not there yet! So I made up this one, which I thoroughly enjoyed! It is to a fruit lovers liking!
Ok, this is a really basic smoothie but I invented it more to help with my little MSM regime. I normally take alot more MSM than the recipe calls for but the 1/2 teaspoon is a “regular” amount for most people (1/2 tea of MSM equals 2000 mg). The Camu Camu powder is to add the needed Vitamin C that helps the MSM work! Camu Camu is a Vitamin C superfood – has more than oranges! It is also known to help with depression and put you in a good mood. So, this is an ultimate combo to get the most out of your MSM regime if you are taking it!
It is recommended that you take at least 1/2 (one half) as much vitamin C as MSM. For example, if you are taking 2000mg of MSM you should take a minimum of 1000 mg of vitamin C. (1/4 tea in this recipe equals 1000 mg)
Of course you can add other things to this smoothie if you want- or you can increase the MSM/Camu ratio. The Camu doesn’t have much taste in this small amoutn in this smoothie. Otherwise, it tastes sort of tangy sourish. :) You can increase it if you want to taste it.
So I am starving, broke and have only 1tbls of cacao left. Not to mention today was one of those triple zero days the bio fedback people talk about, yuckers. I found a beat up apple and started dumping stuff in the blender. You could use the meat of the coconut too, I just didn’t have it in me to swing the machete anymore. It is really Yummies.
This smoothie boasts almost 300% of your daily Vitamin A thanks to the beta carotene in this combo. Beta Carotene nuetralizes free radicals, strengthens immune functioning, and promotes health skin cells. With 165% of your daily Vitamin C needs, it helps maintain collogen in your skin as well. 16 % of your daily calcium is a great way to start your morning too. This is not including whatever juice you pick and the nutrients from that. Drink up!

It’s been hot all day here in Kurdistan and I was wanting something cool.. I started thinking about a nice smoothie, so I chose my favorite fruits and this is what I came up with.. The combination of sour apples and sweet bananas and tangy o.j. are so good.. I like the seeded grapes because the seeds are kind of like a sub. for flax seeds..
This tastes like “Fruity Pebbles” cereal!
My bf actually made this on the fly and he says these are the ingredients he used but I can’t vouch for the completel accuracy. But it tastes like Fruity Pebbles cereal which I used to love so had to post. No picture because i drank too quickly! But it turns out very orange!
I made this this morning, it was a really filling breakfast smoothie, which kept hunger at bay for 4 hours…

I used to be addicted to ice cream…There was a couple of days when all I had to eat was this sorbet…ALL day. haha. Like the equivalent of someone eating ice cream all day, but only this stuff made me feel gooood
