Fruit Recipes
Well after finishing the last of my final exams at UCSD today, I felt like the sun was shining much much brighter. I got back home and decided to make myself a special treat with the little food I still had left in the fridge after studying for 5 days straight. If you though my other recipes were simple, this is just going to blow you away. As always, I hope you love it as much as I do.
This recipe is from Roshi’s Raw Lifestyle . For the original posting, visit this link .
This is Karen Knowler’s recipe : http://karenknowler.typepad.com
But i wanted to share it because its the perfect pudding (or breakfast!) for the summer, as its made totally out of fruit! And it doesnt need added sweetner(s)! Plus It’s quick, easy, healthy and delicious!
I made this for my husband and I for lunch today. We both loved it and so here I share it. The dressing the Nonfat Mango Dressing from Frederic Patenaude’s Instant Raw Sensations. It is simple, easy to vary, and delicious.
This is one of my favorite things to eat. When I started going raw, I was so glad that I could still have this. I don’t know what is so great about it, the taste(although not the ideal food combining :) combinations are just so good to me.
Delicious tropical mix of mandarins, banana, papaya, mango, and coconut. Add pineapple if available. Best if organic.
A nice refreshing pick me up with a ginger citrus like zing. Very healthy, provides lots of antioxidants and omegas!
A refreshing, slightly tart (depending on how many kiwi) juice. The kids loved it!
Well, here’s my first recipe on here! I actually first discovered this on the Greenchef’s website, so it was not my creation, but I had a thought that the “rice” ingredients would make a nice rice crispy treat! I’ve had this about 5 times, it is such a nice tropical treat! My mom even said we should bring them to the next pool party near us!
I usually prefer to cut fruit and eat it rather than drink smoothies. This may seem simple enough, but it seems to get overlooked. This makes a delicious breakfast and snack throughout the day. Other desired and seasonal fruit can be added. See my .tropical passion. if you like mango, papaya, mandarins, bananas, pineapple, and coconut.

For those who love hemp and for those you would like a super healthy nutritious snack!
These delicious light and fluffy balls are really great if you are after a nice treat that is not so heavy as they don’t have any dried fruit, you could make them even lighter by replacing the ground nut/seeds with another cup of buckwheat flour. They look good made into big balls!!
Just messing around with smoothie recipes. The red flecks in this come from the apple peel (my $20 blender left them in). A better blender might reduce these to a non-visible state, or you could just peel the apple first. Personally, I think they add character.
NICE SWEET, FROZEN TREAT FOR THOS HOT SUMMER DAYS! THESE TASTE LIKE THOSE NON-RAW FRUIT POPS (BUT BETTER!)
This is an extremely refreshing blackberry juice I discovered while experimenting. It’s so tasty you’ll love it!
Had a persimmon that needed to be eaten and came up with this this morning. It has such a comforting, unusual taste to it that is really quite lovely. I bet it would be incredible frozen and eaten like a custard. Yum!
A quick and easy satisfying frozen dessert that is particularly refreshing in the summer months. I’ve even had non-raw foodies tell me they love it! The amounts are according to my taste. If you want to add more fruit or more fat to suit to your taste, it will work just as well.
I made this playing around with my brownie recipe, but this turned out really great with strawberries and banana slices dipped into it. I won’t lie, I didn’t take exact measurements, so these are rough estimates. Don’t be afraid to play!
JUST LIKE WHEN YOU WERE A KID! CHOCOLATELY PUDDING POPS!
My first green smoothie recipe to make! Very yummy and energizing. My favorite fruit smoothie was always Strawberry Banana with a bit of orange, so I added the spinach and it was a winner! This smoothie keeps well overnight in the fridge for a great ‘to go’ breakfast.
A fun frozen treat which can be eaten anytime, I like mine right after dinner. It’s fruity, rich, and creamy!
I made this the other day after going for a brisk morning run. It definitely fueled me up!
Apple-y, gingery, lemony goodness.
I could live off this blend.
One of the most fantastic green smoothie ever! Here’s the recipe for those who want to experience the taste of orange and green mingled bliss…

not my recipe! Got this from the POM Wonderful website, but I was so happy! haha I love pomegranate and banana. I’m subbing nectar/honey for where they had sugar, tho.
Everyone always does Strawberry Kiwi, so my sister saw my fresh blueberries and thought, “Why not blueberries?!”. We whipped one up and Oh Yum! Tart, but yummy!
random “throw some stuff together” recipe i think it would be nice with some celery chopped up little for some crunch (i just didnt have any) and maybe some coconut milk to make it creamier.. next time … ( i might also be imagining things but i think i put some allspice in there.. hmm) oh and will someone give this a better name?!
Flexible recipe for any fruit you wish to make into a spreadable jelly/preserve. Adapted from Carol Alt’s Raw 50. This is very simple, but I added it because I didn’t see any other preserve recipes here and it is great for PB & J sandwiches or for breakfast or anything else you would normally use jelly for.
Wow! I made the lemon cookies (I made mine a little sweeter) and had a little batter left, so I put it with fresh fruit for an amazing, rich, filling dessert/salad/snack that I now plan to take to a family potluck sometime! Sorry no pic – my battery is dead and it is too yummy for me to wait for that battery to charge! :)
All the measurements are approximations because I didn’t measure anything when I made it, so adjust everything to your liking. Enjoy!

A refreshing smoothie/parfait, properly food combined, easily digestible, no nuts, seeds, oils, or sweetners necessary.
After staring at my fridge wondering what to make for breakfast tomorrow, I thought of this. It’s much better than I expected and the total is much tastier than the sum of it’s parts…(that’s how the saying goes, right?)
It´s the beginning of chermimoya season here in Spain, yay! This recipe is based on the Cream Dream from Jeremy A. Safron´s The Raw Truth. In it, he calls for fresh apple juice in place of the water and the banana to be frozen in place of the ice. He´s right though, it is very very creamy and cream coloured as well. Delectable.
I can drink this daily and not get tired of it. It’s completely refreshing and spicy (if you add enough ginger).
A delicious and energizing way to start the day.
