Banana Milkshake
Serves 6
Who knew you can make something that so resembles the classic? And without the use of nut milk too! And yet, the first time I tasted this with cinnamon, I thought, “Hmmm… tastes like Christmas.” And my grandmother said, “Hmmm… if a person didn’t know better, they would think this is watered down cow milk.” To which I replied, “Like skim milk?!”
Ingredients
- 2 Bananas
- 1 Date
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 4 cups Water (pure flouride and chlorine free)
- 5 cups Ice
Preparation
1. Blend 3 bananas, 1 date, 4 cups of water, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil in vita-mix on hi.
2. Add 5 cups of ice. Blend on hi again until the mix is like a slushie. Add more ice to make the texture less watery.
3. Garnish with cinnamon and enjoy!
NOTE: Works only in a vita-mix.

Why would it not work in a normal blender? I can blend ice and nuts in mine…

I have a vita-mix but cannot imagine this wouldn’t work in a regular blender. Looks really good, should try sometime.

I tried it in a normal blender, and it came out chunky. Maybe yours works better. If you make it, tell me what happens please!
