Crazy for Cacao Smoothie
This is a deep rich chocolately smoothie which helps to take the place of my dark cup of morning coffee!
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons cacao powder
- ⅓ cup rolled oats ( you could use raw oatgroats instead)
- 1 teaspoon spirulina
- ½ banana
- 1 tablespoon goji berries
- dash quality salt ( optional )
- 1 cup water
- 2 raw brazil nuts
- 1 teaspoon flaxseeds
- sweetener of your choice ( I used dark agave )
- 1 cup ice
Preparation
Throw everything in your vitamix and enjoy! ( I am going to try to add a little spinach in mine the next time I make it )..

Sounds good. And if it can hold a whole teaspoon of Spirulina that’s even better! :) Thank you. Though I won’t be able to try it for a while my supplies are gone :(. But yay for the future :D!

right.. I almost named this the “spirulina hider smoothie” .. I am always trying to hide my spirulina in interesting ways because I don’t like the taste. ( and yes! the baby plants are getting ready to be planted soon!!!)

Strawberry and company are so sweet and charming aren’t they? I just got a vintage juice size Strawberry glass. I have a tiny collection of things. I do not care for the new Strawberry girl.
