Olive & Mushroom Burgers
Makes 16 Burgers (depending on the size)
Great Burgers… really tasty, great with your favourite Bread Recipe with Salad for a Hearty Lunch… These are Not for the Feint-Hearted!!! They are Really Filling…
Ingredients
- 2 Carrots, (Large)
- 2 cups Mushrooms
- 2 Tomatoes, (Medium)
- 1 Potato, (Medium)
- ½ cup Cauliflower
- 1 cup Olives, (Sliced Black)
- ½ cup Olive Oil, (Extra Virgin)
- ½ cup Macadamia Nuts
- ¼ cup Almond Meal
- ½ teaspoon SeaSalt
- ¼ teaspoon Freshly Ground Pepper
Preparation
Everything goes in the food processor…
Blend and Pulse away… until you get a really good ‘wet’ consistency… (use more Olive Oil if you have to).
I use an Egg Ring to get the perfect shape… I put the Egg Ring on top of a teflex sheet on the mesh tray, then dollop 1 Large DesertSpoon full of the mixture in it and press it in and fill a little more if needed…
When all the mixture is used put the tray in the Excalibur Dehydrator on 105 – 110…
It takes 12 – 18 hours depending on how you want your end product…

It says Olive & Mushroom so that really got my attention – two of my favorites. But there are no mushrooms in the ingredient list…

This sounds fabulous but I can’t eat potatoes or sweet potatoes (allergic to starchy fruits and veggies)...does anyone know of a good alternative to potato?

layladebloody, I think I would try lentil sprouts or mushrooms in place of the potatoes; or just increase the other ingredients.

Lentil sprouts sound good instead of potatoes – thanks for the idea, greenie!
Bubbles, yeah – are they really supposed to have mushrooms? That was the appeal for me, too.
