van-hazel nutmilk

morning martini

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces water
  • ¼ cup hazelnuts, soaked overnight
  • ¼ cup raw hempseed
  • 1 tablespoon agave
  • 1 inch scraped vanilla bean seeds
  • 1 whole hazelnut , for garnish

Preparation

1.blend everything(except nut for garnish) until white and creamy.

2.strain with nut milk bag into martini glass.

3.top with one whole hazelnut.

this milk is yummy served with granola :)

I kept wondering why a lot of recipes in the uncookbooks state to blend and strain water ‘n nuts first before adding agave and vanilla… and this recipe sure is a lazy way of doing it! =D
