Maca Coca Ice Cream shake

Serves 2

Maca makes it like a malted flavor, the Carob plus Vanilla, gives it a hint of caramel. Frozen coconut and bananas which are a staple in our freezer, give it a real old fashioned ice cream milk shake feel without the nasty milk and cream of course! I had no need for added agave or sweetener. These are all just perfect level of sweetness for us here! IT was BRUNCH today and only one vitamixer to rinse and clean up.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Maca
  • 1 tablespoon Carob Powder
  • 1 cup coconut water from young coconut
  • 1 cup Frozen young coconut meat
  • 1 cup Frozen Banana slices
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 3 Dates

Preparation

Blend all in the vitamixer quickly so it does not heat up, pour luxuriously into glasses and serve with a straw.

That’s a great idea to use frozen coconut meat!

ohh i just made this delight there are no words!! bliss…i altered it a bit though cos only have old brown coconuts and never used any frozen ingredients or vanilla. it still turned out to be perfect, a new favourite

i also added a wee tsp of cacao, for old times ;)
