makes roughly 1 litre

This has been my new favorite breakfast smoothie for the past week!!!! MMmmmmm

Ingredients

  • pinch sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon carob powder (or to taste)
  • 2 full spriggs of fresh tarragon (destemmed)
  • pinch cayenne
  • 1 sprinkle nutmeg
  • 2 sprinkles cinnamon
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 teaspoons non-alcohol vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon fresh coconut meat
  • 2 cups water (more or less for desired consistency)
  • ¼ teaspoon fresh ginger (or to taste)
  • 2 combined handfulls of soaked almonds, cashews & pumpkin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon spirulina

Preparation

Combine all and blend. If you do not have a high speed blender, you may want to use ground nuts instead. This makes a beautiful creamy mellow smoothie that is not too sweet. For the non-banana eaters, you could try young coconut meat instead. This one definitely has me addicted & I’m getting my protien too!!!

Sorry, but there is no way that anything with cacao is this color. Big Rule on this site as far as most of us…. Don’t post a photo unless it is of food you actually made!!! The whole photo thing is suppose to be *wow* this person made this and now I can, too. Alot of folks can cut and past cool stuff, that is not the point of posting things here.

I made this last night, but it was brown. I woke up this morning still wondering how that smoothie got green. :)

I don’t see anything in the recipe that calls for cacao.

Hmmmm, I didn’t realize there were any “big rules.” No biggie, thank you for correcting the recipe, will give it a try…
