Grapefruit-Kale-Lime Juice

Makes 1 big glass of juice

The most surprisingly delicious juice-combination I have come across in my raw food adventures. Great for first thing in the morning, or for juice-fasting.

Ingredients

  • 2 limes, squeezed
  • 1 grapefruit, sqeezed
  • 1 bunch of kale, juiced

Preparation

Juice the limes and the grapefruit in a citrus press. Juice the kale in the juicer. Combine and consume. Don’t you feel great? And don’t forget to save the kale pulp for dehydrator crackers/breads!

Sorry i made this and it was icky :( It was VERY citrisy…is that a word? and the kale had a overpowering green taste. I am still new to raw foods so i will admit i am sensitive to the juiced greens still.

Yummy! This sounded very much like something I order whenever I get to go to my favorite juice bar in Toronto (Fresh). Their’s is apple, kale, lemon and grapefruit. I’ve been meaning to make it for awhile. So I did a combo of the two: stalks from a bunch of kale, one granny smith apple, one HUGE grapefruit, and just one lime. Beautiful!

Oh yes, it’s good with apple too—better for a broader public, I suppose. I love the tart version, though, must admit!

i tried a variation of this, less kale, added an orange and celery. The lime was really great! So much zing, I loved it.
