Green smoothie with fruit..
Well.. I ate the entire thing.
My version of ‘milk and cereal’! mwah ah ahhh
Ingredients
- 6 ounces strawberries, cut into smaller pieces
- 6 fresh figs, slice into pretty circular pieces
- 2 fuyu persimmons, cut into smaller pieces
- 1 golden pear
- 0.3 pound spinach
Preparation
For the Smoothie: Thoroughly blend the spinach, pear, & a few strawberries.
For the Fruit: cut up the berries, figs, & persimmons into bite size pieces.
Combine fruit in a bowl and pour on the green smoothie!
Yummmm..
Eat with a spoon while bracing yourself. It’s soo good!

I find myself doing this far more often than having a salad.
If you try it out, let me know if you come across any super good combinations!

Good idea. Sometimes it’s nice to linger over breakfast instead of literally gulping it down. There’s more mental satisfaction; you’re “having a meal” instead of just “eating something.”

I like using recipes that are mere templates.. like this one.. obviously can be made with any fruit.. and i usually try to do mostly local but it gets so difficult in the winter!

Mmmm – I used this idea but used the fruits I had on hand – green smoothie of banana, spinach, mango and pineapple juice, with chopped persimmon, pineapple and raspberries for the fruit! Really sweet and comforting!
