Whipped Buttery Spread
Makes almost 2 cups
Delicious whipped buttery spread. It even melts! Goes good on “better than sliced bread” (pictured here).
Ingredients
- 1 cup almond milk
- 2½ tablespoons coconut butter
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- ½ cup coconut oil
Preparation
Blend almond milk, coconut butter, and sea salt in blender. Slowly add coconut oil & continue to blend until smooth and creamy. Chill to thicken.

This looks great!
You seem to have coconut butter, almond milk, and salt listed twice. Is this right?

no that’s not right… that’s weird. I’ll try to fix that.

One other question… what’s the difference in coconut butter and coconut oil? I’m confused!

I think coconut butter is coconut oil and coconut meat mixed. Coconut butter is thicker and creamier… the oil becomes liquid at room temperature (which is how this butter melts). I happened to have both on hand so I used them both.

I finally made this this morning and it is so tasty and easy to make! I actually had it on some SAD bread that I trying to eat up toast-style and it was just like having some melted vegan butter on my bread! I can’t wait to try it on raw bread when I make my next batch! Thanks so much renoir! This will help keep me away from Earth Balance! Five Stars:)
