Zuchinni chips
Crispy, ultra light super easy chip.
Ingredients
- 2 Zuchinni's , sliced thin with peeler or mandolin
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Crushed garlic
- 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
- ½ teaspoon paprika
Preparation
Slice zuchinni into strips and place in a bowl with the olive oil and crushed garlic for about 10 minutes or so, mixing it around so all is well covered. Spread the mixture out on dehydrator tray and sprinkle with sea salt and paprika. You could use more or less depending on your tastes. Dehydrate on around 105 for about 8 hours or so, although some of mine were done before then. It hit my chip desires.

Hi, what kind of dehydrator do you have (brand)? I just purchased one from Walmart (needed somthing I could afford) and I don’t think it has an ajustment for heat. I would love to try making some of these chips.

I have a nesco which I absolutely love, it wasn’t too too expensive, around 70 dollars or so, but it does have adjustable temperatures, from 95 degrees up to 190. I left it on 105 because it seemed like an ok temperature that wouldn’t take too long. I actually ate them ALL up as quick as they were done. Loved it!

these were great! but i had a problem with them sticking to the trays. any suggestions?

I have had to occassionally rub the trays with a light coating of olive oil. That and since I can’t keep my hands off them, I have flipped them to see if they were done earlier.

I am making some of these today with a little ground rosemary and a bit more garlic. I sliced them into circles so we will see how they come out!

YUMMY!!! These were so easy and yummy. I sliced them in rounds. I used a homemade ranch dressing mix and some cayenne pepper. Even my non-raw picky eater husband liked them. That is good news in that maybe there is hope for him yet. It is bad news because now I have to hide a little stash for me or I won’t get to enjoy them!!
Thanks so much for the recipe!!!
