Yerba Mate Frappuccino

Servings:
Serves 1

This drink is an adaptation from the Yerba Mate Latte that I tried from We Like it Raw this morning. It was really tasty, but I recommend only having 1 in a day. I had 2 within 3 hours, and it knocked me off my feet into a nice nappy in which I slept for 2 1/2 hours. Not typical for a Sunday afternoon, but quite nice. Maybe I just needed the sleep…its been crazy lately.

Ingredients:

1/4 teaspoon powdered instant Yerba Mate Royale
2 tablespoons cashew butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon raw agave
1/2 to 1 cup water
ice

Preparation:

Blend all ingredients well until frappy. Pour into a pretty glass, sprinkle cinnamon on top, and enjoy. If you don’t have the powdered yerba, you can brew a teabag in the sun for about 10 minutes, and then use that water and tea as your base!! You can also serve it warm by adding no ice, and blending really well until nice and warm in your blender. That was the way I first tried it, and it was very good. Enjoy!
