Winter Wellness Soup/Smoothie
I came up with this green potion to fight off a cold, using ingredients that have helped me in the past.
1 Big handful of baby spinach
1 large clove of garlic, best to take the vein out
½ ginger root, peeled
2 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tablespoon Raw local honey
.4 teaspoon sea or celtic salt
2 dash hot pepper flakes
1 dash cayenne pepper, (optional)
1 handful of pine nuts
Chop up the parsnip, cucumber, garlic & ginger root. Throw everything into the blender. Add more or less water depending on how you want your thickness. I wanted to drink a smoothie so I used about a couple cups of water.
Use the cayenne pepper sparingly or omit if you prefer not to have your drink a bit hot.
