turkish halva balls
sorry i didn't give the exact amounts but i was improvising and wasn't measuring anything, so just follow your intuition ;)
* raw tahini
* sesame seeds, ground
* sesame seeds, whole (to cover)
* raw agave
nectar or raw honey
* pistachio nuts or/and raisins
* some vanilla
* carob powder (optional)
mix tahini with agave/honey, add vanilla, grind your whole sesame seeds in a coffee grinder, start adding to a mixture until it gets very thick, add some chopped pistachios and/or raisins or any other nuts and dried fruits you desire. form into
balls and cover in whole sesame seeds. you can rinse your hands in a water every now and than to make it easier.
for a carob version of halva just add some carob powder to your mixture and prepare as above.
you can leave it in the refrigerator for an hour or so to harden it a bit or just
eat straight away.
enjoy! ;)
