....and I don't really feel inclined to make this recipe anymore; juts my body's way of telling me I don't need fats.
2.
I felt fine but I was eating alot of fat back then. Now, I don't eat lot of fats so I bet that trail mix would leave me bogged down if I ate too much.
3.
My question is, how did you FEEL after eating this nutty combo?
4.
soak the buckwheat for 24 hours or so changing the water 2 or 3 times. set them out in the sun to sprout and dry for a day.

Hi Nagev! This is a great idea because I used to eat a lot of gorp but got away from it. I recently read a recipe from Ray where he eats a bunch of nuts and fruits that have been chopped and puts almond milk on it for breakfast.
Your idea would be great to put all of those in a cookie jar and then it would be available for grab and go trail mix or grab a handful chop, pour milkl and have breakfast.
When you said buckwheat groats do you mean they are edible right off the shelf or do you soak them or anything? I've never tried them.
With all of the complicated recipes out there sometimes a person forgets how easy this can be! You can live off this stuff!

Sounds good. What are mulberries?

mmm.. yum. when i go hiking i like to make the following mixes:
2 parts pumpkin seeds, 2 parts sunflower seeds, 1 part pine nuts.
and then a sweet mix:
dried white mulberries, gogi berries, cashews & pistachios.
trail mix is SO nice when you're out hiking around and/or camping.
