Sunny Spicy French "Soupe à la tomate"
I was dreaming of a creamy, spicy and filling tomato soup with sundried tomatoes… I was a bit tired of gazpachos and I wanted to find the consistency of the delicious cooked tomato soup my grandma and my mum still cook. That’s why it is called “French” (I am French actually)
This is my very first soup recipe, tell me if you enjoyed it!
1 very large garden tomato, diced
10 sundried tomato halves (the ones in jars), chopped
1 very large tomato,
juiced
1 large cucumber, juiced
1 large carrot, juiced
1 lemon, juiced
1 red pepper, chopped
1 celery stalk with leaves,
chopped
½ onion, diced
2 clove garlic
1½ teaspoon paprika (or more)
1 teaspoon ginger powder
¼ teaspoon cayenne (or more)
2 tablespoon fresh basil leaves
Blend everything and garnish with fresh basil leaves. Add some carrot/cucumber/tomato juice if you need to.
You can increase the amount of spices for an even “hotter” soup!

Just made this today and it was great. I just left out the celery. My SAD boyfriend even said "that's looks really good. Let me taste it" He loved it. Thanks for the recipe.

This soup is one of my favorites. The flavor is great and the spiciness makes it amazing. I would suggest 1 or perhaps 2 tablespoons of Bragg added. Adding that truly completes this great creation IMHO.
