Spice Cream
This is based on Juliano’s Robbin’s Ice cream. I made it and thought it was a bit bland, and thought some spices would jazz it up. It has a nice exotic flavor. It was devoured at a pot luck I took it to! It would make a perfect ending to an Asian, Indian, or Thai meal.
1 cup mango, diced
2 cup orange juice, freshly squeezed
1 cup cashews,
soaked
1 cup banana, cut in chunks
2 cup dates, soft or soaked
½ teaspoon cardamom, ground
½ teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder,
ground
Please adjust the spices to taste as I am not exactly sure how much of each I used. I think more cardamom than 5-spice is the key. Blend all ingredients and chill until cold. Run through a commercial ice cream machine until frozen. You could also freeze the ingredients and then blend after. Enjoy!

I am going to sub young coconut for cashews as I am a no nut eater. SHould the bananas be frozen? I am going to make this. Looks delicious.

This sounds awesome. I love mango with spices, especially cayenne or ginger.
