Soaked Groats Breakfast

My favorite breakfast!
Ingredients:
oat groats, soaked overnight
orange, peeled
dash honey
apple, grated
Preparation:
Blend soaked groats and orange until smooth. Add honey then pour into a bowl. Top with grated apple and enjoy!
If you have any leftover you can add some extra sweetener and form into cookies.
Stick them on the dehydrator for later.
Btw, I don’t measure my groats. I just take a cup and figure it looks like enough. :)

Groats are whole oats with the husk removed and no further processing

FYI: In my last post, that's supposed to say a half cup, not 1?2.

This was really tasty. I only used about 1?2 cup of groats (measured unsoaked) with the orange, and about a tablespoon of honey. I really enjoyed it. I have some leftover because it seemed to make more than I need for breakfast. Adding cinnamon might not be a bad idea. Great suggestion Rawdoll!

I tried this for a mid morning snack today for the first time and I think this is wonderful!!!! I added some left over mush from almond milk I made and some cinnamon, awesome breakfast. thank you!
