Pita Chips!
These are a work in progress! But hopefully going to turn out ok!
½ cup oats
¼ cup sunflower seeds
garlic powder, onion powder, salt, & pepper to
taste
olive oil/water to batter-like consistency
Mix everything together in a blender or food processor and spread evenly on a dehydrating sheet.
Right now mine have been in the dehydrator for almost 17 hours and they’re not very close to done.
One idea was to add flaxseed to the recipe for texture, which I
will definitely try next time!
Also, these can be made into any kind of flavor – simply omit the onion and garlic (feel free to add fresh, by the way, I’m just lazy) and add sun-dried tomatoes, basil, etc. Or substitute
olive oil with safflower or another mild flavor and add some cinnamon for a sweet treat!
Like I said, these are a work in progress, so please feel free to lend me some input! I’d appreciate it :-)

1. I've bought raw rolled oats
I've bought raw rolled oats from natural zing. they're great. I make spinach tortillas and they turn out very nicely, so it'll probably be great in these. I would consider adding a little squeeze of lemon juice if you do add spinach.
2. I know this is not 100% raw,
I know this is not 100% raw, but I still thought it was great! I've made it twice now and am eating some as I write. I think next time I will try oat groats and add some spinach for nutrients. I also added a little agave nectar to make it a little sweet :)
3.
I just used organic oats because I'm not 100% raw, but you certainly could use raw oat groats!
4.
KathyKath - the oats are raw oat groats right? Let me know what sort of oats you used.
