Oh about the crust. I substituted raw agave for the maple syrup but it wasn't sweet enough and didn't stick together so I added a tablespoon of maple syrup to the mixture and then it was fine. I would substitute dates instead of the agave if anyone doesn't want to use the maple syrup.

I made this but ended up tweaking the mousse part quite a bit. I used about 12 dates, several more table spoons of cacao and added several capfuls of vanilla. I also added about 1/3 cup of coconut oil to make it thicker for a pie. The original recipe was fine but I could taste the avocado a tiny bit and didn't want it to have that healthy taste. I wanted something more decadent that I could fool someone as a regular sinful dessert. My variation was even better the next day. But we all have different tastes so I just wanted to throw in my 2 cents :-)

Would it work with (raw) honey instead of agave? Gosh, it looks so good!!!
