A replacement for peanut butter that's so yummy!
4 tbsp almond flour (grind almonds with blender, food processor, or juicer but be careful not to turn into butter)
1 tbsp flax meal
1-2 tbsp flax or olive oil
Almond flour can be made with a juicer, a food processor, or a powerful blender - just be careful not to turn it into butter.
Mix everything together in a small dish.
Make fresh every time, or refrigerate, the longer it sits the more oil is absorbed, use more oil to make it more spreadable.
Enjoy!
I like flax meal for its flavor, but it has lots of good nutritional points as well. If you want to read about it check this out: http://whfoods.org/genpage.php?tname=foodspice&dbid=81#healthbenefits
Yesterday, I was just telling some one the problems with peanut butter. How does the flax meal help?
Thanks,
