Recipe Directions

1. Combine all the ingredients in your blender or Magic Bullet.

2. Blend with 1/2 cup very warm water and add water until a nice thick consistency is reached and flavors are balanced.

3. Add seasoning to tweak. I literally started with a pinch of everything, then added more to my liking.

Harmonylia's Thoughts

By harmonylia

I sprouted lentils like CRAZY. They just were everywhere.

I felt like I was all lentil’d out, and decided to dehydrate a batch of them. I did it on 105 F for about 1 day and then ground them to a fine fine powder.

The soup was inspiration on a cold rainy day. Very rich and topped with faux sour cream.

It was the most delicious comfort food I’d had all week.

Oh, and I used the sour cream recipe from this site, it was the cashew one. I will have to find it and let you know which one!

How sprouted were your lentils? Longish tail, or barely one at all? Somewhere in between? This looks perfect for winter.

Harmonylia that looks comforting....comfort food for sure. I really like the swirl of sour cream, looks gourmet! I created a sprouted lentil soup recipe where I used curry. I'm going to try yours, because I still have some lentils left. I would never have thought to dehydrate sprouted lentils and grind them into fine powder. WHAT A GENIOUS IDEA! That's a great way to have a quick delicious ready-made soup on hand that's raw, fresh, and nutritious without all the additives that the store bought instant soups have. I'm going to add all the spices, dried herbs, and make dried onion and garlic powder and add that too, then store some for those days when I don't feel like going through a long drawn out process of preparing my meal for the day. I can have me some comfort food instead...just add it to a blender with tomato, lemon juice, and warm water and voila!! ;-)
