hot chocolate

This hot chocolate tastes great and really warms you up from inside.

Ingredients:

1 cup almond milk
1 or 2 teaspoon raw almond butter (optionnal, but makes it creamier)
honey or agave nectar to taste (about a teaspoon for me)
1 Tablespoon raw cacao powder
1 thin slice of fresh ginger, chopped
1 pinch of cinnamon
1 pinch of grated nutmeg
1 dash of cayene pepper or Espelette pepper

Preparation:

Put everything in a blender and mix until until frothy. Garnish with a bit more hot pepper if you like it hot :)

I'm drinking this right now, and it's zero degrees in Chicago!!! This is delicious! I made it with hemp milk. The blend of spices is perfect.

Submitted by Crue on December 7, 2008 - 12:17pm.

Thanks RawKidChef! I modified the settings on my blog, I think (hope) anybody now can leave messages. I'd be very happy to post the Craque-lin recipe here, they are so simple, it's almost embarassing lol.

I haven't tried adding ginger but love putting warming spices in with a drink like this.
I have had it made like this(minus ginger) but also have tried it with hazelnuts.
Nice snow day winter treat . Oh, look...I have snow outside in CT today :)
