Servings:
makes a small batch of about a dozen mini-truffle sized brownies

variations include mixing in a bunch of dried mulberries or goji berries, adding a pinch of cayenne, or substituting just walnuts instead of the pumpkin seeds.

Ingredients:

1/3 cup hemp seeds
7-8 dates
ΒΌ cup pumpkin seeds
1/3 cup walnuts
pinch salt
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup cacao powder

Preparation:

1. Pit dates
2. Process dates in food processor to a paste
3. Add walnuts, hemp seeds, and pumkin seeds. Puree until well processed.
4. Add cacao powder, salt. Process until well-mixed.
5. Add vanilla and blend a bit more. Taste to add more of anything!
6. Mold into small balls or little truffle-type things. Press goji berries or coconut shreds on top if desired. OR more hemp seeds if you want them to look like the store-bought ones.
7. EAT!

I think nobody else should make these - you won't like them and then there would be all the hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds etc in the world for me to make them ALL FOR MYSELF Ha Ha Ha! (Laughs evilly)

Ok, Im told I should share so I thoroughly recommend these brownies. They are delicious. I flattened it out and made 6 brownies which I could them enjoy with a pastry fork. Im hoping my non-raw partner will enjoy them too as it is an easy way to get zinc and omega 3's into him.

Thank you for sharing.

I'm eating this now and it's very delicious but very crumbly. I used dried dates because it's all I have, might this be why?

ooh i've had the store-bought raw hemp brownies. those look exactly the same. i think of them more as a fudge than a brownie- but so so good. thanks!
