Recipe Directions

1. Mix all ingredients, except water, in a food processor.

2. Add water bit by bit and process until you have a soft, sticky consistency (make sure it isn't too wet and sticky).

3. Form into balls and coat with cinnamon.

Ymke's Thoughts

By Ymke

A delicious, sweet, light, and easy truffle recipe. One of the best sweets I’ve eaten since I’m raw!

I transformed ‘Sergei’s Amazing Truffles’, a recipe from Sergei Boutenko, into my own heavenly version.

Heavenly Almond Cinnamon Truffles
5
5 out of 5

These are so good. I have made them twice in one week. I used soaked dried almonds and half the cacao instead of carob (just dont have any) and half the water. I havent wanted to roll them in anything but maybe I'm just lazy. I used a little cookie/ice cream scoop and got 15. A+

I brought these to a get together with SAD eaters - and they said this could turn them RAW:) Thanks for the great recipe! It was very rich, without being too sweet.

OH - I added too much water and so I dehydrated them for a few hours. In case anyone else experiences that OOPS;-)

Took these scrumptious balls as they were affectionately termed by the recipients to a pot luck and they were a splendid splash...ROCK ON!!!

If there's a GoneRaw hall of fame for recipes, this should be in there! So easy and so delicious (made these as a Christmas treat for myself)!! I'm looking forward to trying some of the variations mentioned in the comments. Thanks for posting this!

These are great! My parents love them ad they're really picky eaters. They're so rich I could only have like two. So I'm freezing the rest for later. Yum!

you know what makes these really really taste great? if you soak the nuts then dehydrate them overnight... THEN use them in the recipe... man are they good and supposedly the enzyme inhibitors that exist in unsoaked nuts are not present in soaked and dehydrated nuts... the nuts get just a tiny bit sweeter too... mmmm good

Okay, so I've made these four times over the last two weeks and all I can say is that everybody loves them (my friends!). O' I figured this out, in order to make them reallly round just keep your hands a little moist . . . they tend to shape better that way. Also, I've been adding a few more dates to the recipe and that works reallly well. Cheers!

Oh oh, so good. I used half almond and half filberts, cacao instead of carob, raisins instead of dates and rolled in coconut. This will definitely look after the chocolate cravings. Thanks so much for sharing.

Made them now 3 times! The last two times I rolled them in coconut. My 1 1/2 yr old loves them, too!

Yummy! Everyone loved it. I used cacao instead of carob like abbeycamp. WOW is right! I am going to make them again right now. They went in a flash yesterday.

I made these and they were DELISH! I forgot to put the cacao in (I rarely use carob) but rolled them in mesquite and they were some of the best eatings ever! Thank you for the recipe. xoxox

I'm allergic to nuts, is there any suggestions for substitutes for the nuts? This recipe looks great!

I made these last night, and I ate half of them! I love that there is no planning ahead (sprouting, soaking, etc.) and the ingredients are all things that store well. Great! I also want to try it with some orange oil in it, too.

Every weekend I make a treat to take along in my lunch cooler during the week. These may not last that long as they are very delicious. I love the cinnamon flavor on the outside.

Wow, I just tried these tonight. So very yummy! So easy and quick to make! I also rolled mine in shredded coconut. I used to love chocolate with almonds...but this is even better because it's heathier! Recipes like these make being raw so much easier. Thanks so much!

I'm craving chocolate sooooooooo bad!! Came to the site, saw it, and now I'm going to make it!!! I'm going to try currants since I don't have goji berries at the moment. I'm baking a pizza in the dehydrator at present. My 2 weaknesses, pizza and chocolate!
